Small hand built dish from KANA London in dark brown clay, in a bumpy oval shape.
The inside of the dish is finished with a glossy transparent glaze, showing off the natural tones of the clay. The lip of the dish is uneven, the underside is untreated and feels grainy to the touch. Perfect as a landing place for your keys, a serving dish for olives, or just as an ornament in its own right.
Each piece from KANA London is unique and contains subtle variations in form and colour.
KANA is a ceramics studio based in East London, led by Ana Kerin. KANA specialise in hand built stoneware, using a unique mixture of clays and glazes. With a background in sculpture, each of Ana’s pieces are individual, with traces of the makers’ hand in their form and texture. Both functional and decorative, her pieces are equally at home at a busy dinner table, or sitting quietly on the mantelpiece.
