Hand built mug from KANA London in beige clay.
H 3cm x W27 cm
The plate is finished with a translucent glaze, showing off the natural tones of the clay, and decorated with a small feather-like pattern in blue-ish grey. The lip is smooth and undulating, the underside is untreated and feels grainy to the touch.
Perfect for serving food, catching candle wax, or just as an ornament in its own right.
Each piece from KANA London is unique and contains subtle variations in form and colour.
KANA is a ceramics studio based in East London, led by Ana Kerin. KANA specialise in hand built stoneware, using a unique mixture of clays and glazes. With a background in sculpture, each of Ana’s pieces are individual, with traces of the makers’ hand in their form and texture. Both functional and decorative, her pieces are equally at home at a busy dinner table, or sitting quietly on the mantelpiece.
All KANA ceramics are food safe glazed, made from durable materials and suitable for use in the oven & dish-washer (although they recommend to avoiding frequent use in the oven or the dishwasher.)
