The inside of the bowl is finished with a milky white glaze and a splatter of dark blue paint. The lip of the bowl is smooth and bumpy, the underside is untreated and fits nicely in two cupped hands. Perfect for jewellery, keys, incense cones, garlic and spices, or just as an ornament in its own right.
Each piece from KANA London is unique and contains subtle variations in form and colour.
KANA is a ceramics studio based in East London, led by Ana Kerin. KANA specialise in hand built stoneware, using a unique mixture of clays and glazes. With a background in sculpture, each of Ana’s pieces are individual, with traces of the makers’ hand in their form and texture. Both functional and decorative, her pieces are equally at home at a busy dinner table, or sitting quietly on the mantelpiece.
All KANA ceramics are food safe glazed, made from durable materials and suitable for use in the oven & dish-washer (although they recommend to avoiding frequent use in the oven or the dishwasher.)
